Chatham Place at Mary Wade’s Assisted Living Community is deeply honored to collaborate with the Yale School of Medicine on the groundbreaking COACH 4M project, aimed at enhancing the lives of older adults through innovative research. This initiative focuses on the transformative power of music in redefining the narrative around aging, as showcased in the poignant video Surdas: Music as Healing, which highlights the journey of a blind musician navigating disability and age through the lens of creativity. By challenging stereotypes associated with aging, this study seeks to evaluate how engaging with such narratives can empower seniors and reshape their views on health and aging.
