“I would like to thank Mary Wade for the care Mom receives there. It is given with skill, compassion and friendliness. The nursing staff is most attentive and thorough in recognizing any signs of illness, infection or injury. We appreciate their policy of calling us to keep us up to date on any issues with Mom, as they arise. The aides have also been attentive and kind.  The staff understands the issues with dementia and treats Mom with the courtesy a person deserves, as they struggle to maintain control of their life. Thank you!”

“Though my grandmothers stay at Mary Wade was brief, it was probably 4 of the most special days our family could’ve ever received. In 4 days, our family said goodbye, cried, laughed..reminisced, and then cried and laughed some more. I keep explaining it as the most heartbreaking yet most beautiful experience… one that I will never ever forget, and one that I carry with me,always. I’d like to thank the amazing staff here for everything they did for my grandmother and family. You brought all of us, so much peace. Your compassion will never ever be forgotten. “Last night my mother-in-law was released from the hospital and admitted to MW. It’s no surprise to me at the smooth transition. Everyone was great understanding her reluctance and fear. As I’ve always known you have the most amazing staff at MW you should be very proud of them. My mother’s experience was wonderful and I know my mother-in-law will also have a good experience. Once again thank so much.”

“The care was excellent, never heard anyone complain. I got great therapy and was impressed with Kelean who greeted me and showed me the ropes! I met several neighborhood friends here as well that I haven’t seen in years. I am so happy I want to return to visit or volunteer. I had a great view of the beautiful garden and a lovely roommate.”

The staff is always so kind and patient…. seriously gonna put myself in the waiting list when I’m eligible. Have known and loved The Mary Wade Home for almost about a decade – long before my dad was there. “Simultaneously both my parents got sick my dad: stroke with complete blindness and mom: cancer.  They moved into our home with my family and we handled this situation for several years until he passed away.  Over the years my mom started as an out-patient going to the daycare for adults at Mary Wade.  She thrived with these social interactions and was able to stay with us at home.  I was able to remain in the workforce and life went on!  Years passed, she progressed with sickness, and she needed more than my family could give her.  She moved into Mary Wade full time for the last 7 months of her life.  She was visited daily by my family and for each and every day we witnessed a compassionate staff.  Hospice added to her comfort and ours!  Mary Wade holds a special place in our hearts because of the care given to my mom!”
