What a great day for Mary Wade on Sunday, September 30th. The weather was perfect, the location couldn’t have been better and the WALKERS--The walkers are truly amazing.
We were able to spend the time with three of our residents from Boardman……..they had plenty of bottled water and they walked. How special was this!

Tips to Protect Yourself and Senior Loved One from this Weekend's Heat
At Mary Wade, we help our seniors fend off heat-related illnesses in a variety of ways. Of course, we provide cool water for them to drink and a comfortable environment for them to relax. We also monitor our residents to ensure they don’t overexert themselves and we limit their outdoor activity on hot days.
If you have an elderly family member, make sure to visit them and look for signs of heat stress. Don’t let heat stress become a problem. Make an appointment with one of our healthcare clinicians to discuss heat stress prevention and medical factors that could pose a problem in the summer. Contact Mary Wade at 203-562-7222.
