The Boardman Residential Care Home offers a value proposition centered on enhancing quality of life through 24/7 personalized care, safety, and social engagement in a home-like environment.
Mary Wade has engaged Svigals + Partners to design a renovation for the expansion of their Residential Care Services in the historic Boardman Residence.
To satisfy modern requirements for Residential Care Facilities, and to address the aging structural conditions of the original South Wing, the renovation plan includes building a new 16,5OOsf three-story wing to remove and replace the existing original three-story 6,610sf 1889 South Wing.

Since its founding in 1866, Mary Wade has cared for an immeasurable number of the community’s most vulnerable men, women and children. Built on a foundation of generosity by a few stalwart New Haven women, today we ask you to join us in paying it forward to new generations through The Campaign for Mary Wade – Bringing Yesterday to Tomorrow.
The Campaign for Mary Wade seeks to promote an equitable and safe home for our most vulnerable residents. Your support will enable Mary Wade to transform the Lucy Boardman Residential Care Home on campus to a modern, and more energy responsible living environment while respecting its historical legacy for tomorrow’s older adults.
