LSVT Big Physical Therapy Benefits the Physical Limitations that Patients with Parkinson’s Disease Encounter. Falling, balance, gait, and endurance are examples of physical limitations for individuals diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. The LSVT BIG techniques focus on making bigger and more powerful movements anywhere, anytime. This technique improves the quality of life and assists in maintaining independence by improving their mobility.

LSVT Loud Therapy Benefits the Speech Limitations that Patients with Parkinson’s Disease and other  Neurological Disorders Encounter. Common speech problems include: soft voice, mumbled speech, monotone speech, imprecise articulation and hoarse voice. The LSVT Loud techniques focus on improvement in voice quality, loudness and intonation and diminished facial expression. This technique improves the quality of life by enabling participants to engage in family conversations and reduces social isolation.

Support Group 
CT Chapter support group meets the 3rd  Wednesday of each month. We invite you to join us and experience the Mary Wade difference. Monthly Support Groups are held on the Mary Wade Campus-Learn better ways to cope with conditions, amplitude-based exercise, resources while getting the support of others in similar situations. .
