Partnering with the Alzheimer's Association CT Chapter
I Am Me – Connecting Heart to Heart Caregivers for Alzheimer's and Dementia Face Special Challenges
The Mary Wade Home, Inc. and the Connecticut Chapter of Alzheimer’s Association have formed a partnership to expand and enhance memory-care capabilities in the New Haven community. On March 20, Mary Wade hosted a kickoff meeting to mark the beginning of this partnership. The staff at Mary Wade encounter dementia and Alzheimer’s disease every day. By partnering with the Alzheimer’s Association, we combine our experience, expertise and skills to serve our clients and patients. Our goal is to provide consistently excellent care for our clients and patients, and this includes early detection of Alzheimer's symptoms and signs.
Lunch-N-Learn Events will be held on the Mary Wade Campus to educate caregivers and healthcare providers about the many different topics related to dementia. Each session will be held from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. on the Mary Wade campus. The session is free and includes a light lunch. Registration is required.
