  • Ben & Jerry's by Mitchell Wollen and his family

    Residents and staff enjoyed a visit from Ben & Jerry’s ice cream today thanks to the generosity of Mitchell Wollen and his family.  Mitchell is a sophomore at Xavier High School who has started a nonprofit that makes signs in support of healthcare workers.  From the sales of the signs, they donate the proceeds to benefit the staff of local hospitals or nursing homes while at the same time supporting local businesses.  Thanks to Mitchell and his family for sharing the love!  Check out Mitchell’s story here and here.

    One of Mary Wade's beloved Entertainers, Charlie Salerno, was honored and  recognized today along with his family from  New Haven.  Six brothers from the same family fought to keep our country safe and today, the city unveiled a plaque in their honor.
