  • What is your staffing ratio?


    Mary Wade ADC provides one staff member for every seven members.

  • My parent takes medication in the afternoon. How will she get that when she is at Mary Wade?


    Family can provide Mary Wade with a supply of medications for their parent. Our licensed nurse will administer medication as ordered by the member’s physician.

  • Do you provide meals?


    Yes. Mary Wade provides a continental breakfast to those members who arrive in the ADC by 10am. We provide a hot, catered lunch daily and will provide modified diets for those in need.

  • My dad cannot take himself to the bathroom, will someone assist him?


    Mary Wade’s staff is trained to provide for the personal needs of our members. An individualized plan of care is created for each of our members and will ensure all of their physical needs are met.

  • My Mom wanders, is it safe for her to attend ADC?


    Yes. Mary Wade’s ADC provides a safe environment for those individuals who wander due to Alzheimer’s and Dementia. Our exits are locked and secure and our staff provides supervision to our members.

  • How do I pay for my care?


    There are several options to pay for care. You can pay a private daily rate if you have private funds. We accept most long term care insurances which pay for your room and board either partially or in-full. We accept Medicaid and if you have had a three day, inpatient hospital stay, Medicare will pay for your stay up to 100 days.

  • Can I keep my own physician?


    No, you can not keep your own physician. Mary Wade is proud to work with exceptional physicians from The Yale New Haven Geriatric services and those physicians will care for your loved one. You must keep any specialty doctor such as your cardiologist, orthopedist, or neurologists, etc.

  • What is included in the daily rate?


    The daily rate includes room and board, housekeeping, laundry, recreation, and dietary services. Medications and treatments, MD visits, oxygen and mental health services are billed to your insurance first and any co-pays are your responsibility. For Medicaid residents all services are billed to T-19.

  • Do you have a waiting list for long term care?


    Mary Wade has a waiting list for long term care. Once an application is received your loved one will be placed on our waiting list. Phone calls are made periodically to keep the list current. Your loved one’s name will not be removed from the waiting list without your consent and followed by a letter of verification.

  • Is there a waiting list for short term rehabilitation?


    There is not a waiting list for this service. Please call Rosanne Mondrone, Director of Admissions directly at (203) 672-7809 to inquire about availability.
