  • Does my insurance pay for adult day services?


    No. Medicare, Medicaid, and private health insurance companies do not cover Adult Day Center Services.

  • I am in need of adult day care but cannot afford to pay privately, are there any resources that can help me?


    Yes, there are many resources available to people age 60 years or older that fund adult day services. These resources include the CT Homecare Program for Elders, CT Respite Program, Veteran’s Administration and Title 3. The Director of Adult Day Services will assist in acquiring these resources.

  • I want my parent to attend ADC, but I am not sure if they will like it. Can they come for a visit?


    Any person interested in attending ADC will be asked to come to our center for a tour and a free visit day. This will give us opportunity to meet your loved one and determine if ADC is a good fit.

  • My Parent has dementia, is he/she appropriate for the Adult Day Center?


    Yes. Mary Wade’s Adult Day Center is designed to meet the needs of elders with cognitive impairment. Our program of activities are designed to assist individuals living with Dementia maintain quality of life and highest level of functioning.

  • Does Mary Wade provide transportation?


    Yes. Mary Wade has its own fleet of vehicles that provide rides to and from the Adult Day Center. Our vans travel to New Haven, Hamden, East Haven, North Haven, and West Haven daily.

  • Are your vans handicapped accessible?


    Yes. All of our vans are equipped with lifts that can accommodate any type of wheelchair.

  • Will Mary Wade assist my Mom on and off the van?


    Yes. Mary Wade provides door to door service to our members.

  • Is transportation included in the daily fee?


    Yes. Mary Wade’s daily rate includes transportation.

  • How do I enroll my parent?


    Contact Mary Wade by phone and speak with the Adult Day Center director. She will answer your questions over the phone and gather some information about the potential member. The Director will schedule a tour/visit for you and/or your loved one. Medical paperwork will be requested from the member’s physician and a small packet of enrollment papers must be signed.

  • What are your hours?


    Mary Wade is open 7 days a week. Monday through Fridays from 8am to 5pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 8am to 4pm.
